This indoor arena in Carey Park, Gold Coast, is conceived as a dynamic cultural and sporting venue, accommodating live music performances and community basketball. A defining feature is the external floating structure that frames the building's edge, creating sheltered outdoor zones and a visual threshold between the park and the interior spaces.

The surrounding landscape is designed to flow seamlessly into the building, with pathways, vegetation, and gathering areas weaving into and through the architecture. This integration enhances the arena's connection to Country, respects existing heritage trees, and invites community engagement. The 90-metre glulam timber span supports a large, flexible interior that prioritises acoustic performance, sustainability, and social inclusion.

As part of its commitment to supporting local culture, the project includes a dedicated artist hub. This space provides opportunities for local artists to exhibit their work in curated gallery areas and access professional music studios integrated into the facility. By fostering creativity and collaboration, the artist hub transforms the arena into a cultural anchor point that celebrates and empowers the region's creative community.
