Set in 2055, The Hull Circuit is a speculative urban and architectural response to a future where Hull has been partially submerged by rising sea levels. At its centre is a futuristic stadium hosting the world’s first Grand Prix for meta-human parkour-an augmented reality-enhanced sport where biomechanically advanced athletes compete across shifting, modular terrain.
The stadium is embedded in a larger gamified ecosystem. Hull is restructured into a network of Main and Sub Nodes, elevated multi-modal hubs that integrate transport, energy, and circulation. These are connected by Links-walkable, playable transit corridors that also host urban parkour challenges.
Scattered across the city are Game Narrative Makers: architectural elements that support gameplay, storytelling, and public engagement. From BloomTrackers and Modular Parkour Bridges to the Adventure Guild Tower, these features embed a narrative layer into the built environment.
Inspired by Homo Ludens, Assassin’s Creed, and Altered Carbon, the project repositions architecture as an active participant in movement, play, and identity. The Hull Circuit offers a bold new model for post-crisis urbanism. where spectacle and resilience are fused through sport, technology, and design.
